This document sets out our privacy commitment to the AutoGuard users’ personal and public data. We respect the privacy of our users, and recognize the importance of the information they entrust to us. We have created this document to summarize the basic information policies and practices, and to help you understand how we treat such information.
Any information you provide us during registration, is only used to provide our services. We collect the email address and certain personally identifiable information of those who communicate with us. Your email address is not displayed on the site to anyone.
You will be identified only by your Gmail address, which is shown to anybody you interact with, or who views your profile or any of the content you create. The information we collect is not shared with, or sold to, other organizations, unless we have your permission, or under the following conditions:
- If it becomes necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, spam, safety of any individual or third party, violations, or as otherwise required by the law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Should we ever do so, we will comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
Publicly Available Information
When you create a AutoGuard account with your Gmail address, some information about you and your account activity will be provided to other users of AutoGuard. This includes the date you registered, country, state and any other location information you choose to make public.
Any content you submit to AutoGuard may be redistributed through the Internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by other AutoGuard users, or the general public. You are fully responsible for all the content you submit, and AutoGuard can not be held responsible for any content our users store in their accounts.
From our Android app you also have the option to upload videos to Youtube, and the privacy level of such uploads can be set in the settings. No personal information is collected from the phone, but for the purpose of statistics and targeted advertising, third-party libraries may collect, store, share and/or transfer various anonymous end-user IDs and location data.
We may periodically update this policy, and will notify you of significant changes by placing a prominent notice on our site, and possibly sending a notice to the email address specified in your account.
